(verse 1) Patriarchs and prophets through whom the story is told; If we did follow them we wouldn't long have a home. For they left the good life, and the ways of the world; They dug wells in Canaan, at the voice of the Lord. (verse 2) Isaac dwelt inside a tent; Rebbecca left and came to him; she left the house of Laban, then Isaac prayed and she had twins (bridge 1) Who will go (Isaiah will go) Who will go for us (and Micah); Who will go (Ezekiel will go) Who will go for us (and Zephaniah) (verse 3) Some did time behind bars, slept on rocks under the stars; In peril and distress, they spoke to the nations that dwelt afar; Men did come to take them out; gathered forces round about; When they came at them they did trust is God and His chariots (verse 4) Sarah was without child; barren and past the time; A promise seems broken, until it comes alive. (bridge 2) Who will go (Jeremiah will go); Who will go for us (and Hosea); Who will go (Abraham will go) Who will go for us (and Zechariah). (Chorus) Patriarchs ... they're patriarchs and prophets ... Prophets (repeat) (bridge 3) Who will go, Who will go for us (send me, Lord)

I have walked in righteousness, following Your plan; I wonder of your promise, of people many as the sand. I would give my eyes to see that promise stand; I would give my life, to have Isaac home again. Yet I have had your shelter along the road from Ur; I cannot forsake You now, so I'll obey Your word. Isaac God has spoken! A sacrifice He asks ... Gather sticks around you ... and lie upon your back. Abram you are righteous ... I will not ask this of you; All the words of promise, surely will come true. I too have a son ... precious in My sight; Look unto the thicket, your God will provide. (Words from Genesis) But in blessing I will bless thee multiplying thy seed as the stars of the heaven; and as the sand on the seashore.

(verse 2) Shall God indeed leave His chosen ones forever? Beaten and bound, and off to Babylon; Wail prophet wail, as the ground quakes around you; through you God has stayed far from them and near. (bridge) Jeremiah weep for the dark day is dawning! Jeremiah weep for the dark day is come! End: They shall return to Me ... one day.

Moses! Gather all the people; Take them to the foot of the mountain; This day trumpets are blowing; Wind and smoke all astounding. (chorus) :I see the Lord descend on Sinai in a pillar of fire on a cloudy day: cloudy day. Moses! Rope off a region; A line that none can cross; God's hand is reaching ... Egypt was the cost. (chorus)

Comfort ye my people; I have rent, I have torn Comfort ye my people; I will build, you are born ... ... again. You are born again; Surely you'll be born again. Cedars of Lebanon; growing up so tall and strong; Cedars of Lebanon; like a mother, I do long ... ... (Surely I long) for you; (Surely I long) Surely I long for you; (Surely I long) Yes I long, yes I long ... for you. Comfort ye my people; Comfort ye my people; (Surely I) Comfort ye.

Jonah's Song 04:02
I am traveling for the Mighty God; I ran from Him and was as good as gone; He sent a mighty wind to take all of us; So they threw me to the waters (Chorus) :Yet forty days (yet forty days) for Nineveh: I went down to the bottom of mountains; The waters compassed me about; The earth with her bars was about me; Yet will I look to Thy holy temple (Bridge) You must believe me, I didn't want to go, I didn't want to go to that evil nation.

The horse and the rider, have been thrown into the sea; So Miriam sang with her sisters; and beat on tambourines. Shouts of joy in the desert; wind rattling through the trees; Dead Egyptians are floating; on the top of the reeds. An angel goes before you; to slay your enemies; throughout the wilderness, a warrior he will be (Bridge) They do sing songs of joy; They do sing songs of joy (Finale) :Miriam dance with your sisters (Miriam dance won't you dance with your sisters:

Although the fig tree shall not blossom; Neither shall the fruit be on the vine;and the fields shall yield no food. Make my feet like hinds feet, that I may walk on Thy high places; on a mountain ... where the clouds meet. There will I ... know that I shall yet rejoice ... I shall yet rejoice. The labor of the olive will fail; will I yet joy in the Lord? In the God of my salvation? So I talked to the Most High; I sat stubborn 'til He answered me; I told Him of life, and asked Him, "Why?" And will I ... surely will I stay until I know ... 'O make my feet like hinds feet, like hinds feet, like hinds feet, like hinds ... feet.

Thus says the Lord of Hosts, I was jealous for Zion; I was jealous for her with ... great fury. Thus says the Lord of Host, "I am returning to Zion; and will dwell in the midst of ... Yerushaliam; Jerusalem will be called, a city of truth; So the word of the Lord, came to me saying ... If it be marvelous in the eyes of this people; Should it not also be marvelous ... in My eyes? (Bridge) Thus says the Lord of Hosts, "Let your hands be strong" Hear these days the words of the prophets; That were in the day the foundation was laid; That the temple of the Lord may be ... may be built.

Elisha parted the waters; Elisha healed the pottage; Elisha called for bears; and flesh they did tear. Who is this mighty prophet? Who served the great Elijah He's just a man, he's just a man, trusting a great God. School of prophets said to him; today your master is taken; He saw chariots of fire; he held a prophet's attire. Who is this mighty prophet? Who served the great Elijah; He's just a man, he's just a man, trusting a great God. (End) :Angels are riding in chariots on high: :Angels are watching in chariots on high:

For there sins and for four; I will not turn away My wrath will I pour; a fire in the gates To the nations cry; is it time to relax? about

Takes events of Old Testament characters for lyrics and experimental rock --- strongly influenced by classic rock and folk rock styles --- musically. A lot of songs with two or three lead guitars often done in harmonic arrangements. The album was a two year recording process. It is a theme album ... both lyrically (old testament characters) and musically (some recurring guitar sounds).
