lyrics
(verse 1)
Patriarchs and prophets through whom the story is told; If we did follow them we wouldn't long have a home.
For they left the good life, and the ways of the world;
They dug wells in Canaan, at the voice of the Lord.
(verse 2)
Isaac dwelt inside a tent; Rebbecca left and came to him; she left the house of Laban, then Isaac prayed and she had twins
(bridge 1)
Who will go (Isaiah will go) Who will go for us (and Micah); Who will go (Ezekiel will go) Who will go for us (and Zephaniah)
(verse 3)
Some did time behind bars, slept on rocks under the stars; In peril and distress, they spoke to the nations that dwelt afar; Men did come to take them out; gathered forces round about; When they came at them they did trust is God and His chariots
(verse 4)
Sarah was without child; barren and past the time;
A promise seems broken, until it comes alive.
(bridge 2)
Who will go (Jeremiah will go); Who will go for us (and Hosea); Who will go (Abraham will go) Who will go for us (and Zechariah).
(Chorus)
Patriarchs ... they're patriarchs and prophets ... Prophets (repeat)
(bridge 3)
Who will go, Who will go for us (send me, Lord)
